He is accused of embezzlement of 600 crores. The sources told INDIA TODAY that Lokayukta CM can interrogate.

What is the builder scam?

Prakash Mehta, considered to be the most powerful minister of the Maharashtra government, is accused in this. Mehta is alleged to have neglected the rules and gave the land of Taddev area of Mumbai to a builder . The place given to the builder is at the prime location. In this case last month, the Opposition had fiercely beaten up in the assembly. After this, the CM ordered the investigation.

Why CM inquired from?

It is being said that in some files Devendra Fadnavis has been written. After this Fadnavis took the decision that the Lokayukta can interrogate him. Explain that under the rules, the Fadnavis do not fall under the purview of Lokayukta. They can not be called for questioning. But according to the office of Fadnavis, the CM has decided to give its approval itself. It is being said that this week the order will be issued in this regard.
